Projects
Representing, Querying, and Reasoning with RDF Contextualized Triples
My dissertation project attempts to extend the current RDF data model for representing, querying, and reasoning with contextual information about the triples such as provenance, time, location, certainty, etc. Although reification can be used for representing such information, it is not formalized and has been shown to be inefficient in terms of dataset sizes and query performance. Therefore, my dissertation project proposes a formal approach that extends the current model-theoretic semantics to incorporate context into the representation, querying, and reasoning of RDF triples. This approach defines the new type of property, called singleton property, to identify the unique relationship between two RDF resources.
